How do I create a video reel from a text idea?
Go to Projects → New Reel → choose "AI Storyboard". Enter your script or story idea, choose aspect ratio and brand, click Generate. Onyx Reelz will create scenes using AI video generation (Kling V3). Each scene uses your previous scenes as context for visual continuity.
How does URL to Video work?
Go to Video to Reel → URL to Video. Paste any webpage URL (blog post, product page, article). The AI scrapes the content, generates a storyboard, pairs each scene with matching Pexels stock footage, and opens in the editor. No AI video credits used — stock footage only.
How does Audio to Video work?
Go to Video to Reel → Audio to Video. Upload any MP3 or audio file (podcast, voiceover, song). The AI transcribes it, splits it into scenes, matches Pexels stock footage to each segment, and opens in the editor ready to edit.
How does Screen Recording work?

Go to Video to Reel → Campaign Generator. Enter your product/service, target audience, tone, platform and number of reels (3, 5, 7 or 10). Free for Pro/Agency users.
Does my reel get a title automatically when using Video to Reel?
Yes. When you create a reel through any Video to Reel flow, the AI automatically generates a descriptive title based on your clip names and theme — so your reel opens with a meaningful name instead of a generic date-stamped one like "Video Reel 21/05/2026". You can always rename it in the editor.
How do I generate AI video for a scene?
In the editor storyboard, each scene has a Generate button. Enter your scene description in the narration/action fields and click Generate. Kling V3 AI generates a cinematic video clip. Scene 2 onwards automatically uses Scene 1's visual style and content as a reference for continuity.
What is the scene continuity feature?
When you generate Scene 2 or later, the system automatically passes a "scene bible" (summary of all previous scenes) and Scene 1's thumbnail image to Kling as a reference. This improves visual consistency — same environment, similar style across scenes. Note: exact character faces may still vary slightly as this is a current limitation of AI video technology.
How long does AI video generation take?
AI video takes 2–4 minutes per scene and runs sequentially. A 3-scene reel takes approximately 6–12 minutes. Keep the tab open — your reel will open automatically when ready.
What are Character Lock and Style Reference?
Character Lock extracts a reference frame from your first scene and pins that character's appearance across all subsequent scenes for visual consistency. Style Reference lets you paste an image URL to apply its visual style across all scenes.
What video format should I use for Motion Reference?
Paste a direct URL to an MP4 video file. The URL must be publicly accessible. If the URL is invalid or private, the scene generation will fail silently — double-check your link before generating.
Why does AI video cost credits?
Each AI scene uses 5 credits from your balance. Character Lock and Style Reference add no extra cost.
How do reels get auto-titled?
When you generate a scene or complete a create flow, GPT-4o-mini automatically generates a punchy 4–7 word title based on your scene description. This replaces "Untitled Reel" in the title bar. You can always edit it manually.
How do I download my reel?
Click the Download button in the editor toolbar. The system renders all your scenes into a single MP4 file. This may take 1–2 minutes depending on the length.
Why do I see gaps between scenes in the editor?
The timeline shows scenes as separate blocks — this is normal. When you Download your reel, smooth dissolve transitions are automatically applied between scenes. Your final video will flow seamlessly.

In the Editor, click the music note icon in the left panel, select Stock tab, and search or browse 25 tracks across 15 moods. Click Apply to add to your timeline.
Can I set a custom duration for each AI scene?
Yes. Before generating each scene, use the duration selector to choose 3s, 5s, 8s, or 10s. Each scene can have a different duration, which is useful for pacing your reel or giving more complex scenes extra time.
Can I regenerate just one scene without rebuilding the whole reel?
Yes. In the editor storyboard, each scene has its own Generate button. Click it to regenerate only that scene with Kling AI — your other scenes remain untouched.
How do I publish to YouTube?
